Hi Folks, It's been a while I know but I haven't been idle, I've been busy with a University Course on Web Design and I hope you all like my efforts with our brand new look Casual Community News. Well now, with a gap in the newspaper there have been lots of happenings and news (read "gossip"). The biggest news of all is that I have lost a sprog! Yes folks, one down, two to go! Senior sprog has got his own flat (apartment) and is revelling in his independence. Of course it cost me a fortune to help him get started but at least he is settled now. He had his priorities right, he bought himself a TV and video and wondered why I was surprised that he hadn't got a cooker (stove).<sigh> I had a laugh last month when he came for a visit and I noticed when
he was leaving that he had a bulging bag. Upon querying what it was I
discovered that he had helped himself to a toilet roll. I said "You'll
never guess what? People who have their own places actually go to shops
when they run out of toilet roll they don't usually pinch other peoples!"
He mumbled that the shops were shut and he had ran out. I really must
pay more attention when he next visits gawd knows what he will need next.
LOL Junior has his own computer now and is patiently waiting until I get a long enough network cable to link him to mine. He can't wait to get online! (I have no idea who he takes this after) He has loaded the ugliest wallpaper and screensaver I have ever seen. There's no accounting for taste where 14 year olds are concerned. I always thought I would be worried when Junior took an interest in the opposite sex. I think I have reason to worry because not just one girl calls for him, they seem to call in threes! For some reason he gets kind of upset when I tease him about them. I know you will all be wondering just what they have managed to break since it's been a while since I mentioned it. I don't know where to start. I found a disintegrated breakfast bar stool (of course no one knows how it happened), a handle broken off a door, broken wardrobe door, smashed lawnmower and I won't even mention the dishes and glasses, I just think of those as normal breakages! LOL I'm sure there's more I just can't remember at present. Well, thats all the home news, in the forum we had the pleasure of welcoming JustDar back to staff and Teri as our newest staff member! Two great gals who I know you will find a lot of fun. I hope you are all having a wonderful summer! We have some great articles this month that I know you will all enjoy. Lynda |
