Greetings and Happy "Autumn". This year has gone by so fast, the end of summer and I already miss it! Love the summer here in Northern California. The Fall season is pretty and probably my second favorite. We are finally getting a chill in the morning to really feel like the season, the colors are turning and so pretty.

First of all, I, and the forum staff are wishing all our Florida members all our best wishes to a speedy recovery from the damage from all these hurricanes. Our good thoughts and prayers are with all of you and let us know if we can help out in any way. I have taped the TV episodes Tav requested and hope to get those off to her soon. <grin> WE all have our priorities. Mother Nature sure is angry this year??? The devastation with four hurricanes in Florida, St Helena threatening to erupt and California having earthquakes, makes ya wonder!!

I have just returned from a seven day over 1000 mile trip. First off to lovely Lake Tahoe for our annual business meeting. I made a deposit to the State of Nevada "AGAIN" and getting a bit discouraged when on the morning we were leaving, just happened to have a "good" feeling <eg> so went down to play a $20.00 in a machine. Good grief, I finally had a bit of good luck and turned that $20.00 into $600.00 on a quarter machine!! WoooHooo, sort of makes up for the Vegas fiasco!! Tech and I went on to Redding on Friday and passing through the gorgeous Burney Falls area, <it is not easy getting from Tahoe to Redding> decided to make arrangements with my niece for dinner.

Well, ummm we took a wrong turn and when I saw the sign REDDING, 28 miles, knew we were in trouble. A quick call to my niece who was patiently waiting at the restaurant with the bad news we were about 50 miles away. Good thing she loves me and has a great sense of humor! Once in Redding we visited with friends and had a great time. Sunday off to Oregon for Ranch equipment, fun stuff like Ranch gates, Weed killer, gas cans, etc <BORING> and back to Redding the same day. Monday on the road again and to the Napa ranch. Seems like we were in the truck most of the week we were gone. Now we are getting ready for a 10 day RV trip down to the Solvang area of California. We are traveling with a large group and looking forward to the trip. The only concern I have is that is the area that is rockin and rollin right now with earthquakes!!!

Forum News The staff is getting ready for the annual Halloween festivities. Every year the staff puts a lot of effort in bringing games and chats, silly and fun polls, message threads with interesting tidbits. I want to thank the staff in advance for all their hard work and effort to bring these events. This is a great staff to work with and I cannot say it enough, Casual Chat has the best staff on CompuServe.

Well, I am off to pack for our next adventure. We will be relying on our cell phone to log in and should be interesting. <GGG> We are using a different cell phone plan and hope it will be effective. If you don't see me for a couple of weeks, it failed!! <LOL>
