Editorial, cup of coffee time

Hi Folks, Well by all reports, summer is over now, it was a nice four days when it lasted.

I'm just back from Scotland. Ma and Maggs and I went over to Stirling for a mini-break. A good time was had by all, pity no one told us how hilly Stirling was I think I have muscles on my legs in places where I never knew muscles existed. We got a little lost in Glasgow on the way back, luckily we found a handy cop-shop and Maggs went in and got us our bearings (actually surprised they let her out again). This was after she found herself a Bus Inspector who seemed to take a fancy to her.... hehehehe.
Ma had to go shopping of course and I (just keeping her company you know)I got a lovely pair of boots in an outlet store, Ma is wondering how anyone can wear that many boots but I assured her all my boots get an airing regularly.
The jeep had a small mishap on the way back to the ferry, a low-flying pheasant decided to investigate the front grill and leave rather a dark stain where they collided. I didn't stop to pick it up there was enough mess on the jeep though pheasant can make a nice meal.

You know the way I always tell you what the sprogs have broken every month? Well not this month, this month it was my turn. I told you about the lovely wee toy I bought myself on my last trip across the pond? My lovely PDA (pocket PC for the uninitiated). I loved it, used it for everything and it paid me back by turning a very disorganised person into an organised person. Well.......(don't laugh please, it was really rather painful) I was heading to a meeting where I knew I would be asked for a date for a follow up meeting, so of course I stuck my PDA in my pocket so I could check my diary and we could agree on a date. All went well and I quickly rushed out of the meeting because I was dying for a pee. Well......I forgot I had the PDA in my pocket and it err.....fell down the loo! Seems PDA's don't like water (or any other liquid) and I had to hold a wake for it's demise. I think my Insurance Company is going to pay up...so ...fingers crossed!!

Junior is finally on-line (don't know whether this is a good idea or not). He's already attempted to download every dubious game there is, so I disabled his downloading capabilities.

My next university course starts at the beginning of next month, this module is all about javascript, so you never know what surprises you will find on the site after Christmas. (Ohhhh Gawd...did I really mention Christmas? Yikes!!!!)

We have some fantastic articles this month which I really enjoyed as I'm sure you all will too. Such a clever bunch we have in Casual!

I hope you all have a beautiful autumn and the winter isn't too soon in coming.
