Greetings from finally "sunny" California. The rains have finally stopped about two weeks ago. We were considering purchasing a sea worthy boat for a while. I knew the weather would change for at least this week, since it is Sacramento Jazz Jubilee week and always HOT!! More on that later Forum News. Teri's song game on the message boards are doing so well and fun for everyone but wonder why I am not getting the "rock" songs, half I never heard of and perhaps my singing the ones I knew had Teri take to a different sound? Becca and Gin have started their new message board game "Chasing Clues In Casual, and a roaring success!!! The gals are extremely clever giving clues that cannot be searched easily on a search engine and I am sure they are having fun with tat. Members and Staff love the game and maybe I will even come close one day <not holding breath> Good Job Gals!!! We would like to encourage members to use the Chat Rooms and to pop in and chat even if a host is not having an event. The Staff is working hard to have as many scheduled events as we can do but as members you are all welcome to pop in a room to do live chat. As most of the staff and many of the members know, I have volunteered at the Sacramento Jazz Jubilee for about 12 years. I worked a venue at our California State Fair grounds the Beer Garden Venue.
This has been special to me and for many years I would come home about 2:00 AM with my stories and adventures of the day. Great music, fantastic people and most of my family members working with me.

My #1 Granddaughter has assisted her mom announcing the bands since she was three years old and had to give it up this year because she is preparing for another adventure that I am so proud of, that a bit later. To make a long story short, this year I gave up the Beer garden to work the RV lot with my brother. Last week it was announced that this was the last year for five music venue's, food vendors and of course the RV area that welcomed six to eight hundred RV's from all over the USA and Canada. It is a little sad out there this weekend but we have some hope that an agreement can be worked out before next year. Governor Arnie is in favor of keeping this tradition alive and we hope he is successful. By working the RV area since Tuesday, I now have the rest of the weekend off to actually enjoy all the venue's and even venture downtown to Old Sacramento. I do have an announcement that I am so proud of regarding
my oldest granddaughter Katie. The Sacramento Youth Choir that she is
a Again, thanks to staff for keeping this place running and to all our members, we appreciate all of you and especially Random and Tavi for taking on the Writers, Arts message section and encouraging members contributions. Great poetry, stories and fun stuff as well. Until next time, have a great summer and hope you all continue to have fun here in Casual Chat.
